Apple has released watchOS 11.4, a new major operating system update for Apple Watch. watchOS 11.4 is compatible with Apple Watch Series 6 and later, all versions of Apple Watch Ultra, and Apple Watch SE 2.
The watchOS 11.4 update can be downloaded through the Apple Watch app on a connected iPhone by going to Settings > General > Software Update. To install the system, the Apple Watch must have at least 50% battery power. The watch must be charging. The firmware size is 1 GB.
In watchOS 11.4, Apple added a new feature for the Sleep Wake Up alarm clock, which allows it to play sound even in silent mode, combining haptic feedback with audio. In addition, the update adds support for Matter-compatible robot vacuums to the Home app. The company also fixed bugs and optimized the system.
Recall that Apple also recently released iOS 18.4, macOS 15.4, and a new software update for AirPods Max, which adds support for Lossless Audio and Low-Latency Audio.
