Apple releases first beta of iOS 26.1
Apple has released the first beta of iOS 26.1 , just a week after the release of iOS 26. The main innovation is additional languages for Apple Intelligence: Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese, Swedish, Turkish, Chinese (Traditional), and Vietnamese, MacRumors reports.
In addition, the Live Translation feature for AirPods has also received additional languages: Japanese, Korean, Italian, and Chinese (traditional and simplified versions). As for other innovations, in the Phone app, the number keypad now uses a Liquid Glass effect.
Apple Music now lets you swipe on a track title to switch songs, and Photos has updated the video slider and navigation bar with a more "matte" look for better visibility on light backgrounds.
In Calendar, some views now show events from different calendars with a full color background. In Safari, the bottom tab bar is now wider with smaller margins around the edges.
Apple has also renamed Rapid Security Updates to Background Security Improvement.
