Apple starts selling refurbished MacBook Air M4 models with up to 15% discount
Apple has added the MacBook Air with the M4 chip to its refurbished section in the US — the first appearance of new models at a reduced price since their release in early 2025.
Both 13- and 15-inch versions are available with different configurations. The discount is about 15% compared to new devices: the base model can be purchased for $849 instead of $999.
The number of options varies based on availability, but there are currently over 30 models available. Refurbished devices undergo thorough testing, cleaning, battery replacement, and come with the same terms as new devices, including a 14-day return policy and AppleCare+ support.
As a reminder, the main feature of the current MacBook Air model is the 10-core M4 processor. According to Apple, this makes the laptop twice as fast as the model with M1 and 23 times faster than models with Intel processors.
The MacBook Air M4 also features an upgraded webcam, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, MagSafe charging, and two Thunderbolt ports for connecting accessories, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. The laptop supports two external displays with resolutions up to 6K.
By the way, earlier Apple also began selling refurbished versions of the Mac mini, MacBook Pro, and Mac Studio with M4 Max and M3 Ultra chips.
