The new Apple Studio Display will receive a chip like the iPhone 17 Pro
The next Apple Studio Display may feature the as-yet-unannounced A19 Pro chip, according to elements in the company's code found by MacRumors.
First, Apple's code mentioned Studio Display under the working name J427, which was reported back in March 2025. Now, additional searches have indicated the use of the A19 Pro chip, which is likely to debut in the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max.
In Apple displays, the chips are responsible for features like Center Stage, which uses machine learning algorithms to keep you in the frame during video calls, Spatial Audio, and Siri activation.
The first generation of the Studio Display, released in 2022, featured the A13 Bionic used in the iPhone 11 lineup in 2019. Shortly after, rumors surfaced that the next monitor would have more features, such as a built-in analog StandBy. In addition, the next generation may get mini-LED backlighting.
The new Apple Studio Display model is expected to be released in early 2026. That's when you should expect new Macs.
In addition, there have been previous reports that Apple is preparing a Siri-equipped desktop companion that will be released in 2027, as well as an updated HomePod Mini speaker that could be shown in late 2025.
