Apple's foldable device with an 18.8-inch screen could arrive late next year
According to the latest data, Apple is actively working on creating two foldable devices that could appear on the market as early as late 2026 or early 2027, MacRumors reports, citing Jeff Pu, an analyst at investment company GF Securities.
According to him, these gadgets are already at the new product introduction (NPI) stage on Foxconn production lines.
The first device is a 7.8-inch foldable iPhone, which is expected to be Apple's first smartphone in this segment. The second device is an 18.8-inch MacBook and iPad hybrid that will run macOS with a touch interface. If confirmed, this will be Apple's first touchscreen device based on macOS.
It was previously reported that the larger gadget would only appear in 2028, but new data suggests that development may be accelerated.
At the same time, well-known insider Mark Gurman of Bloomberg believes that this large folding device will be an iPad and that it will only appear in 2028, not before.
