Apple may not introduce AirPods Pro 3 until 2026. This was reported by analyst Jeff Pu (via @Jukanlosreve) , citing industry sources. If the prediction comes true, the update will arrive four years after the release of the AirPods Pro 2, which debuted in September 2022.
Previously, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported on the possible release of new headphones in 2025, especially after mentions of a new model in the iOS 26 code.
Possible innovations include built-in infrared cameras that will be able to recognize gestures to control the player. Sound improvements and features related to the user's health are also expected.
The price of the headphones is not yet known, but both previous models started with a price tag of $249. If Apple does not change its pricing policy, the new product will have the same price.
Recall that Apple updated the standard AirPods to the fourth generation last year, while the AirPods Pro have only received software updates since 2022.
