Apple has removed its own advertising again — the fourth in a year

- 24 June, 10:17 AM

Apple has removed its new ad, The Parent Presentation, from YouTube and its website just a day after it was posted. This marks the fourth Apple ad to be removed from public view in less than a year, as first spotted by MacRumors.

In the video, comedian Martin Gerligi told students how to convince their parents to buy them a Mac. In addition to the video, Apple released an 81-slide presentation with arguments in favor of buying the company's laptops - it is still available for download.

This isn't the first time Apple has removed its own commercials. In May 2024, the company apologized for the "Crush!" commercial, which featured a hydraulic press crushing musical and other creative tools to showcase the capabilities of the iPad Pro.

Later, an Out of Office OOO ad filmed in Thailand was removed after it was accused of stereotyping the country. In March of this year, the company also removed an iPhone 16 ad starring Bella Ramsay for mentioning Apple Intelligence features that were not yet available .

Apple has not yet provided an explanation for the reasons for removing the latest video.
