Anthropic Claude now lets you create apps right in the chat

Anthropic has added a new feature to its chatbot Claude that lets you create full-fledged applications directly in the chat window. The update is now available in beta and expands on last year's Artifacts mode, which allowed you to see and modify the results of your generation.

To get started, simply describe what application you want to create — Claude will automatically write the necessary code and show you the interactive result. The user can immediately test the application, change the interface or logic, and use Claude as a real-time code editor.

According to Anthropic, early adopters have already built AI games, learning platforms, analytics dashboards, text assistants, and even agent systems that coordinate multiple requests to Claude at once using Claude. The applications they create can be integrated with Claude via an API, and their use will be tied to the subscription of the user calling the API.

The feature is available for all plans — Free, Pro, and Max. Anthropic also encourages sharing your apps: when using the API for third-party purposes, requests are billed at the rate of the person launching the app, not the app author.
