Anthropic opens up web search to all Claude users
Anthropic has made the web search feature in its chatbot Claude available for free to all users, Engadget reports. The feature allows Claude to provide more accurate answers based on up-to-date information from the Internet.
In parallel, the company has launched a beta test of voice mode in the Claude mobile application. Users will be able to have natural voice dialogues with the bot, choosing from five voice options. After conversations, Claude will be able to create a text transcript and a short summary.
In case you didn’t know, Claude is an artificial intelligence chatbot created by Anthropic for safe and understandable interactions with users. It was developed as an alternative to ChatGPT. Claude can answer questions, create texts or code, and perform various tasks. The company emphasizes that Claude was developed with a special focus on the ethical use of AI.
As a reminder, last week Anthropic also introduced two new models: Opus 4, aimed at complex programming tasks, and Sonnet 4, a hybrid model for queries of varying complexity. The voice mode in the test mode is based on Sonnet 4.
