AntGamer is developing a monitor with a refresh rate of 1000 Hz
Chinese company AntGamer is teasing a monitor with a 1000 Hz refresh rate, which will be released in 2026. It will use a TN panel and will receive local dimming and black frame insertion (BFI) technologies, reports Tom's Hardware.
The teaser for the new monitor's release came during the official presentation of another gaming monitor for esports enthusiasts from Ant Esports' esports division, the ANT257PF, with a refresh rate of 750 Hz. There are currently no other details about the 1000 Hz monitor.
In addition, AntGamer, together with AMD, prepared a material about ultra-high refresh rate monitors for esports at 1000 fps. It states that such a result can be achieved in games like Counter-Strike and PUBG.
Other slides show that ultra-fast response requires better signal transmission, new amorphous silicon-based materials, and changes in display structure.
Most of the presentation focused on the ANT257PF with a frequency of 750 Hz, but these technologies will probably be used in a future monitor.
In addition to Chinese companies, more well-known brands are also starting to use similar technologies. In particular, earlier this year, LG Displays introduced a panel with a refresh rate of 720 Hz. Later, ASUS used this panel for the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W monitor.
