Next stop is Iceland. Euro Truck Simulator 2 – Iceland announced
SCS Software has announced the next expansion for the Euro Truck Simulator 2 map – Iceland. This island country has long existed in mods for the game, but the Czech studio is finally going to release an official map of Iceland.
Due to Iceland's unique geography, you shouldn't expect an extensive highway network, but the authors promise to implement the country's main highway in the DLC - Gringvegur (Ring Road, also known as Road 1) - a route that will encircle the entire island.
Of course, the DLC will also feature the incredible landscapes of Iceland, volcanoes and volcanic plateaus, waterfalls, towns (almost a third of the country's population lives in Reykjavik and the capital region, so these are really small towns), landmarks and observation decks, new industries, etc. And of course, the aurora borealis.
The release date for Euro Truck Simulator 2 – Iceland has not yet been announced, but knowing SCS Software, we can expect a release in about a year. Especially since the studio has a lot of work to do right now – the Euro Truck Simulator 2 – Nordic Horizons map expansion, which should be released in the near future, an update to the Benelux map, travel mode and passenger cars, and a full-fledged intercity bus simulator, the teaser of which the studio released two weeks ago.
