Unihertz has introduced the Titan 2, an updated smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard that combines a retro BlackBerry-style design with modern hardware. The new product runs on Android 15, supports 5G, and is equipped with two displays.
Unihertz is a Chinese manufacturer known for its unconventional Android devices. The company produces ultra-compact smartphones, devices with enhanced security, and models with physical keyboards. Unihertz usually finances its devices through crowdfunding, targeting a niche audience.
The Titan 2 has a 4.5-inch square screen with a resolution of 1440×1440 pixels, and on the back there is a second 2-inch display (410×502) integrated into the camera module. It can be used to display messages, widgets, or selfies.
The smartphone is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chip, 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal memory. The 5050 mAh battery supports 33 W charging. The main camera is 50 megapixels. There is also an 8 MP telephoto lens and a 32 MP front camera. The Titan 2 supports Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, IR port, GPS and FM radio.
The keyboard is particularly noteworthy. It has received an updated design for more comfortable typing and supports macro settings: users can assign actions to short and long presses of each key, as well as use the keys for scrolling.
The Unihertz Titan 2 is now available for pre-order on Kickstarter starting at $269. The retail price is expected to be $399. Shipments will begin in October 2025.
