AMD has officially confirmed the release of the Radeon RX 9060 graphics card, which turned out to be a simplified version of the RX 9060 XT model. The company announced the new product along with a driver update for the graphics cards, VideoCardz reports.

The RX 9060 is based on the same Navi 44 GPU as the older XT model, but with reduced specifications. The new graphics card has 1792 stream processors, which is 12.5% less than the RX 9060 XT. The model is aimed at gaming at 1080p resolution.

The graphics card is equipped with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory with a frequency of 18 Gbps, providing a bandwidth of 288 GB/s - about 10% less compared to the XT version. Power consumption is 132 W.

AMD has published the results of testing the performance of the RX 9060 in games at maximum settings in 1080p.

  • Assassin's Creed Mirage: 108 FPS
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: 98 FPS
  • DOOM Eternal (RT): 153 FPS
  • Dragon Age: The Veilguard: 67 FPS
  • F1 24: 188 FPS
  • Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered: 106 FPS
  • God of War: Ragnarok: 120 FPS
  • Resident Evil 4 (RT): 100 FPS

The company confirmed that the RX 9060 will not be available for general use. The model is intended primarily for ready-made builds, although individual copies may appear in retail.

AMD previously provided inaccurate specifications to partners, causing some manufacturers, including XFX, to mistakenly list 32 compute units and 20 Gbps memory on their cards instead of the actual specifications.

The RX 9060 will compete with NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5050, which is also aimed at the OEM market. The launch of the new product is scheduled for August this year. The official retail price has not yet been announced.
