Amazon to release Life is Strange TV series

Amazon has officially ordered a TV series adaptation of the cult game Life is Strange. Charlie Cowell, known for The End of the F***ing World and KAOS, will serve as showrunner, writer, and executive producer.

The project is being developed in collaboration with Square Enix, Story Kitchen, and LuckyChap, and is being produced by Amazon MGM Studios. The plot adapts the events of the first game: photography student Max discovers the ability to manipulate time and rescues her childhood friend Chloe. Together, they investigate the disappearance of a classmate, gradually discovering the dark side of their hometown and facing choices that could cost them their lives.

Life is Strange has become one of the most successful narrative games of the last decade, selling over 20 million copies. The series will be released exclusively on Prime Video.
