Ukrainian company Ajax Systems has introduced a new category of video surveillance products with hybrid illumination to provide color images even in low light. The line includes BulletCam HL, TurretCam HL and DomeCam Mini HL cameras.
When motion or an object is detected, the new Ajax cameras switch from IR to white light, transmitting a color image instead of black and white. This helps identify vehicle details, clothing colors, and other visual cues that may be missed in IR mode.
Users will be able to choose from three available modes: white light always on in low light conditions; completely off; only turns on when motion is detected. In the last mode, the white light will remain on for 30 seconds after motion is detected and will not turn off as long as motion continues.
The new Ajax cameras with hybrid illumination will be available in three form factors. The BulletCam HL and TurretCam HL have an illumination range of up to 50 meters, while the DomeCam Mini HL, due to its design, has an illumination range of up to 15 meters.
The new camera line also offers several types of sensors and lens combinations. There are 5 MP CMOS sensors with a resolution of 2880 x 1620 pixels and 8 MP with 3840 x 2160 pixels. Each sensor has a fixed lens of 2.8 or 4 mm. In total, Ajax offers 20 camera options, available in black and white.
In addition, all models support True WDR technology, which ensures stable image clarity in low light. In addition, each camera has a microSD card slot for up to 256 GB of local storage and a built-in digital microphone with support for standard audio codecs: G.711 ULAW/ALAW, G.722 and G.726.
Recall that Ajax Systems previously also released a new fire detection system, the EN54 Line.
