Acer introduces new Aspire AI and Swift laptops

Acer has announced updates to its laptop lineup for business, students and other consumers. The company is expanding its Aspire AI lineup with six new models with Copilot+, featuring 14- and 16-inch displays and available in a variety of configurations, including a choice of Intel Core Ultra, AMD Ryzen AI 300 or Snapdragon X processors. It also introduced new Acer Swift models with Intel and AMD.

The new Aspire 14 AI and Apsire 16 AI laptops feature 180° hinges, 14- and 16-inch screens with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 1920 × 1200 pixel resolution, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. At the same time, the new products have up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD, and Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

The laptops also have a good set of ports: two USB Type-C connectors (Thunderbolt 4 in Intel versions, USB 4 in others), two USB 3.2 Type-A, one of which provides charging when the power is off, HDMI 2.1, a MicroSD memory card slot, and an audio jack.

Depending on the processor chosen, the new Aspire AIs will come with a graphics chip from the respective manufacturer. In general, the models are available in variants with Intel Core Ultra from 5 226V to 7 258V with Intel ARc 130V or 140V graphics, AMD Ryzen AI 5 340 or 7 350 with Radeon 860M or 840M graphics, and with a Snapdragon X X1-26-100 chip paired with Qualcomm Adreno. All laptops also received a 65 Wh battery, which, depending on the processor chosen, will offer from up to 28 hours of video playback.

The 14-inch model with the Snapdragon X processor will cost from UAH 42,999 and will go on sale in July, with Intel - from UAH 46,999. But the model with AMD will appear in August, also from UAH 46,999. The 16-inch model with Snapdragon will appear in July from UAH 46,999, and Intel and AMD will go on sale in September at a price of UAH 51,999.

The second Acer laptop series to receive an update is the Acer Swift. The company is expanding its Swift Edge AI, Swift Go, and Swift X lines. These Copilot+-enabled new models feature OLED displays and advanced AI-accelerated processors, and in the case of the Swift X, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards.

The Acer Swift Edge 14 AI has an ultra-light design – just 0.99 kg – while offering high performance for artificial intelligence. It is equipped with a 14-inch OLED display with 3K resolution and 100% support for the DCI-P3 color space. Acer notes that it is the world's first laptop with Corning Gorilla Mate Pro coating, which reduces glare on the screen by 95%.

In terms of performance, the Swift Edge 14 AI is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 228V processor, Intel Arc graphics, up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1TB of NVMe PCIe Gen 4 storage. The three-cell 65Wh lithium-ion battery, according to Acer tests, will provide up to 21 hours of video playback.

In addition, the laptop received Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, two USB-Type-C with Thunderbolt 4 support and charging capability, two Type-A ports, one of which also supports charging, an HDMI 2.1 port, and an audio jack.

Acer Swift Edge 14 AI (SFE14-51/T) will go on sale in Ukraine in July with a starting price of UAH 75,999.

Two more laptops, the Acer Swift Go 16 AI and 14 AI, will have a slightly simpler set of features and will go on sale in September and July, respectively, at prices starting at UAH 61,999 and UAH 56,999.

In the maximum configuration, the laptops will have an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V, 32 GB of RAM, 2 TB of storage, and will provide up to 16 hours of web surfing thanks to a 64 Wh battery.

The differences between the two models lie in the displays. The Swift Go 16 AI will feature a 16-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2048x1280 pixels, while the Swift Go 14 AI will feature a 14-inch screen with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels. The ports and wireless connectivity options in both models are similar to the Swift Edge.

The latest business innovations are the Acer Swift X 14 and 14 AI, equipped with Intel and AMD processors, respectively. The 14 AI will receive AMD Ryzen AI 5 340, 7 350 or 9 365 processors with a neural processor of up to 50 trillion operations per second (TOPS), alternatively models with Intel Core Ultra 5 225H, 7 225H and 9 285H with 13 TOPS will be available. Regardless of the processor, the new products will come with graphics cards up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 for laptops.

Among other things, the new Acer Swift X will have up to 32 GB of RAM, up to 2 TB of storage, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 or higher, two Type-C, two Type-A, HDMI 2.1, a MicroSD reader, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Both devices also feature a 14.5-inch OLED display with 3K resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, 340 nits peak brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. In addition, touch-enabled options will be available.

Both Acer Swift X 14 AI and 14 models will go on sale in Ukraine in August with a starting price of 84,999 UAH.
