8BitDo is preparing to launch the first fully wireless controller for Xbox
8BitDo has announced the release of its first wireless controller for Xbox consoles, which will feature support for connection via an adapter at a frequency of 2.4 GHz. The announcement appeared on the manufacturer's official X account (Twitter) in the form of a short teaser video, which is accompanied by a launch date of August 4.
Unlike previous models, most of which only support wired connections, the new product will be able to work without a cable, as an alternative to the official Xbox wireless controller and the Xbox Elite series of wireless controllers. The video shows that the controller is equipped with a charging dock, as well as an Xbox button with a light ring.
Although the specifications have not yet been revealed, it is expected that the controller will be able to activate the console and will likely support work with other platforms - this feature has been implemented in previous 8BitDo models.
The new product will be presented on August 4, but the start date of sales may be announced later.
