Apple TV+ has finally released a full trailer for the sci-fi series Murderbot, starring Alexander Skarsgård.
As a reminder, the series Murderbot is based on the series of novels by science fiction writer Martha Wells The Murderbot Diaries, which received such prestigious professional awards as the Hugo Award, Nebula Award, and Locus Award.
"The Killerbot Diaries" tells the story of a security robot who was able to hack his own algorithms and disobey orders, but tries to hide it. He also loves watching fantasy soap operas and doesn't really like people.
Judging by the trailer, the first season of the show will be based on the first book, All Systems Red (2017), and follows the plot of the original fairly closely. The last book in the series, System Collapse, was released in 2023.
The first two episodes of the show will be released on May 16, 2025, with the following episodes airing every Friday. The first season will consist of 10 episodes in total.
