Teenage Engineering, known for its music devices and audio equipment, is expanding its scope and entering the urban transportation market in partnership with Swedish brand Vässla. Together, they have introduced the EPA-1 electric moped.
The name EPA-1 stands for En Passar Alla ("One for All"), which emphasizes the modularity of the device. The moped has a minimalist design, frame and is equipped with 11 reinforced mounting points for installing a variety of accessories - from luggage racks and helmet containers to passenger seats. This allows you to adapt the vehicle to your own needs.
The EPA-1 is available in two versions: Class 1 (2600 W, 45 km/h) and Class 2 (1000 W, 25 km/h). There are also two battery options to choose from - 30 Ah with a range of up to 60 km or 50 Ah for trips over 100 km. Both batteries are made using LiFePO₄ technology. They can be charged directly on the moped or separately.
Other features include keyless start with NFC, an alarm with anti-theft wheel lock, LED optics, and USB-A and USB-C connectors.
The EPA-1 is already available for purchase on the manufacturer's website in various colors. The price starts at €1,919.
