After a four-year hiatus, the Ukrainian team Nova Sich has released an updated version 1.10 of the total conversion Honour and Glory for Mount & Blade: Warband. This mod is dedicated to the events of the 16th century in Eastern Europe and allows you to play as the troops of the Zaporozhian Sich and 11 other factions, including Prussia and Hungary, new in version 1.10.

Do not confuse Honour and Glory by Nova Sich and Mount & Blade: With Fire and Sword by Sich Studio. These are different teams and although the mods are based on the same game by TaleWorlds, they are dedicated to different periods of history - the 16th and 17th centuries, respectively, and are based on different versions of the base game.

Features of the Honour and Glory mod: a historical map, historical nobles and banners, close to the historical scenes of cities and fortresses; many new quests, in particular, there is a quest from Bayda Vyshnevetsky himself to free Ukrainian slaves. In addition, the game has combat formations, living cities with animated residents, the ability to start the game as a ruler or nobleman, a new system of recruiting troops, new mechanics during a siege, new locations on the map, and in general, many small innovations that improve the gameplay and immersion. Of particular note are craft and social skills in the spirit of classic role-playing games: ore mining, blacksmithing, hunting, pickpocketing.

The Honour and Glory mod, which should really be called a total conversion, has been in development since 2014, with breaks and complete team renewals. Since then, 6 major updates have been released. The developers have not yet "migrated" to the more modern Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, due to the fact that this game is still being updated and generally does not support major modifications.

The studio plans to finalize the "Honor and Glory" mod for Warband, and version 1.11 with additional quests is already in development.

In addition, a mod called Tryzna about 9th century Eastern Europe is planned - first an alpha version should appear for Warband, and then for Bannerlord. This is a mod about the ancient Slavs, Khazars, and Varangians, a period of Ukrainian history that is almost not revealed in games.

If all goes well, then "Honor and Glory 2" under Bannerlord will follow - already about the times of Hetman Petro Sahaidachny and the Black Sea campaigns of the Cossacks against the Turks. The focus will be shifted to the south, so we can expect the emergence of Persia as an important geopolitical player. And this is exactly the time when the troops of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth led by Stanisław Zholkiewski and Petro Sahaidachny captured Moscow, which looks like a potentially interesting gaming experience.

In general, the developers have an idea to create their own full-fledged historical game, no longer a mod, about Medieval Kyiv, possibly on Unity.

The total conversion of Honour and Glory to Mount & Blade: Warband can be downloaded from the Steam Workshop or from ModDB. There is a separate Ukrainianizer of the mod. On the Discord server of the Nova Sich community, you can find out the latest news about the mod.

Download Honour and Glory and leave your comments to the developers, this will help them find inspiration for creating new mods that popularize Ukrainian history.
