If Oleksandr Usyk's spectacular victory over Daniel Dubois has made you interested in boxing, but not enough to go to a sports club - here is a small selection of video games where you can try on the role of a boxer. Let's note right away that the genre is not very developed, but there are still interesting projects in it.

Creed: Rise to Glory (VR only)

Virtual reality is best suited for this genre, so it's no surprise that a large number of boxing simulators have been released specifically for VR . Creed: Rise to Glory is based on the popular Rocky franchise, or rather, on the spin-off series "Creed: The Legacy of Rocky Balboa", in which Sylvester Stallone's character trains the son of Apollo Creed. The game has high-quality graphics, a good career mode and a multiplayer mode in which the player can box with his friends or choose a "quick match" (although, given the very low online traffic right now, finding someone will be problematic).

The Thrill of the Fight (VR only)

Another game exclusively for virtual reality. Despite its age (The Thrill of the Fight was released 9 years ago), it is still considered the best VR boxing game in terms of the realism of the game mechanics. The game supports only single-player mode - if you want to box with real people, you should turn to the sequel, The Thrill of the Fight 2. However, it is only available in the Meta Store, and is currently in Early Access.

Undisputed (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S)

The most authentic boxing simulator on PC and consoles, Undisputed offers the best graphics in the genre, close to photorealism, a well-thought-out career mode, over 70 licensed boxers (yes, Oleksandr Usyk is also present), over 60 different punches, the ability to deeply personalize your own fighter, including different fighting styles, including those that imitate real athletes. Unfortunately, judging by the latest reviews, including on Steam , the gaming community remained dissatisfied with the game's latest updates.

Tactic Boxing (PC)

A relatively new game, Tactic Boxing offers high-quality ragdoll physics, a detailed system of characteristics for each athlete, career and manager modes, and local multiplayer. Unfortunately, in terms of visuals and overall graphic detail, the game is clearly inferior to other projects.

Real Boxing (PC, Android, iOS)

A fairly old game for mobile platforms, which was also released on PC. As for a mobile project, it has very good graphics and realistic movements (captured from real fighters, according to the developer). Real Boxing offers a career mode and multiplayer - both local and online. The second part is already available on Android, iOS and Switch , while the release of its improved version is still expected on PC - there is already a Real Boxing 2: Remastered page on Steam, but there is no release date yet.
