This spring pleases with its weather, but the gaming season is entering a traditional lull. However, this lull is rather conditional. After all, this month we are waiting for some not-so-loud, but potentially interesting releases.
Take, for example, the action/adventure South of Midnight, where each level will be centered around an extraordinary monster. Or the role-playing game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 – something new and very ambitious. And then there are the returns to familiar worlds, such as The Talos Principle: Reawakened or Monaco 2. And that's not all.
Koira

In my opinion, it's great that games like Koira are emerging in this turbulent world. Calm, but very emotional, filled with poetry and the magic of unknown worlds. And very cute creatures to boot.
One day, the main character wakes up in the middle of a magical forest and hears a puppy whimpering - someone needs help. Together with his new four-legged friend, the player sets off on a journey through a musical forest, avoiding hunters and solving puzzles. Judging by the trailers, the game has very pleasant music, and Koira is also hand-drawn. In terms of mood, the project resembles two wonderful indie games - Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley (with its story about the adventures of Snufkin) and Neva. Koira is connected to the latter not only by the atmosphere, but also by the central mechanics of caring for a companion animal.
STEEL HUNTERS

Steel Hunters is a PvPvE shooter that combines elements of team-based action and tactics. The game is set in a futuristic world where a global catastrophe has occurred and humans control huge mechanical hunters in a fight for the vital resource Starfall.
So, players control unique combat robots. Each of them has its own progression system and style of play. The main mechanics are based on the confrontation of six teams of two players, where only one squad can win. The gameplay, according to the developers, requires a combination of quick reflexes, thoughtful tactics and coordinated teamwork.
During the match, participants explore the destroyed terrain, complete dynamic tasks, interact with the environment, and confront both artificial intelligence and other teams of players. It is stated that the combat mechanics allow you to use the environment: destroy buildings, set up ambushes, and maneuver the terrain.
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered

The Last of Us Part II Remastered is getting ready to hit PC. The remaster, which was previously exclusive to PlayStation 5, will feature a number of PC-specific improvements, including support for NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3.1, and FSR 4, advanced graphics settings, support for ultrawide monitors, and keyboard and mouse controls.
In addition to the technical improvements, the game will retain the unique content of the PlayStation 5 version, including audio commentary from creative director Neil Druckmann and the roguelike mode No Return. The mode will feature four new maps and two additional playable characters - Bill and Marlin from the first The Last of Us.
Of course, the game will require fairly modern hardware: from GTX 1650/RX 5500 XT-level graphics cards for minimum settings to RTX 4080/RX 7900 XT for 4K mode, 16/32 GB of RAM, and 150 GB of free SSD space.
Commandos: Origins

Developed by in-house studio Kalypso Media, the game promises dynamic gameplay with multiple mission options, the ability to use vehicles, and a two-player co-op mode. Commandos: Origins will be available on Game Pass.
South of Midnight

South of Midnight is an action/adventure game from Compulsion Games that promises to immerse players in the mysterious world of folklore of the American Deep South. After a hurricane takes away her home and mother, the girl sets off on a journey full of mysteries. And in parallel, she acquires magical abilities.
Along the way, Hazel meets various mystical creatures that are an inseparable part of the world around her. For example, a huge catfish, or someone very similar to it, but quite talkative, like a fish stuck in a tree. The heroine must help the poor thing return to a more natural environment for him - water.
The game features an interesting art style and a deep immersion in the folklore of the American South. Hazel travels the world, overcoming obstacles using double jump, wall-running, and a magical glider. During battles, she can attract and repel enemies, use magical gadgets, and interact with a semi-mystical companion, a doll named Crouton.
On April 8, 2025, the game will immediately become available on Xbox Game Pass for PC and Xbox Series.
The Talos Principle: Reawakened

The Talos Principle: Reawakened is an updated version of the cult philosophical puzzle game, first released in 2014. Developers Devolver Digital and Croteam decided to modernize the game, so they used the Unreal Engine 5 engine to improve the graphics, lighting, and location design.
In addition to technical improvements, players can expect a new chapter about the birth of the Simulation, an original campaign with additional content Road to Gehenna, and an innovative puzzle editor.
However, the publishers emphasize that The Talos Principle: Reawakened will remain as close to the original as possible, offering only cosmetic and minor content improvements.
Monaco 2

You may have played Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine, a stealth and tactical thief game that could be played in both single-player and co-op modes.
12 years later, a sequel is released. Monaco 2 is also a cooperative action heist from Pocketwatch Games. Players will be able to assemble a team of up to four people and plan complex robberies in different locations, instantly changing their strategy if something goes wrong.
The game features eight unique characters with their own abilities that will help players steal jewels and bypass security. After completing the story campaign, hundreds of procedurally generated levels await them, providing a virtually endless variety of heists. The second part will be available immediately in both local and online cooperative modes.

Let me remind you, we play as the shy introvert Swan in two timelines, 1995 and 2022. The heroine is fascinated by nature, birds, and all kinds of mysticism. And most importantly, she loves shooting videos with an amateur camera. In 1995, she is 16, and she has cool friends - Nora, Autumn, and Kat. So Swan finally feels happy, although she knows that this will not last long: in the fall, her family will move to Canada. But now - now the friends are living a full-fledged teenage summer: they walk, listen to music, play in a band, find a mysterious abandoned hut in the forest and equip it... And they record all this on video.
But one day it turns out that everything is not as good as it seemed. And also… And what else – we will learn from the second film. By the way, this is one of the few games that was available with a PlayStation Plus subscription right from the start.
Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy

The game tells the story of a journalist who joins an international expedition to a mysterious island in the Atlantic. The mission is simple, but complex: save rare white birds by transporting a unique egg home.
Microids promises not just a restoration, but a real rebirth of the game: updated graphics, a deeper plot, a more detailed world in 3D format. At the same time, the developers will preserve the classic movement mechanics - the character will move by clicking on the arrows.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Currently, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is an ambitious debut project from the French studio Sandfall Interactive. However, it is quite possible that in reality we are facing a future legend. Who knows! But it is already obvious that the game has an extremely atmospheric setting, combining elements of fantasy, post-apocalyptic and the style of the "Belle Epoque" of the 19th century. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 seeks to create a cinematic experience, and also organically combine the mechanics of Western and Japanese role-playing games.
The plot revolves around an expedition exploring an unknown world. Among the explorers is, for example, 16-year-old Mael, who joins the team in search of her own destiny. The game promises a deep storyline, where each character has a complex backstory and their own motivations.
Journalists who played the game's demo noted the art design, as well as the dynamic turn-based battles.
The developers focused on the cinematic and emotional depth of the narrative, promising players not just a mechanical passage, but a real journey with unexpected plot twists.
