As announced, today Samsung introduced new foldable smartphones. In this category, the company currently occupies a leading position. One of these devices is the Samsung Galaxy Flip4.

This time, most of the updates to the smartphone happened inside, with an almost unchanged appearance. Although there are still small updates. The dimensions of the case have changed minimally, which in Flip3 were 166×72.2×6.9 mm in the open state and 86.4×72.2×15.9-17.1 mm in the closed state, and in the new model they are 165.2×71.9×6.9 and 84.9×71.9×15.9-17.1, respectively. The weight has imperceptibly increased from 183 grams to 187.

And as the insiders said, the smartphone appeared with new color options. Among the case materials, only the protective glass of the external display has changed — this is a new revision of Gorilla Glass Victus+. Also, the internal display should be more durable, although it remains with plastic protection.

The hinge has not undergone visual changes (although it has physically become smaller), where a small gap remains closer to it in the closed form. But the case is also protected from water according to the IRx8 standard, and the hinge itself must withstand 200,000 folds.

Displays did not change diagonals. The internal Dynamic AMOLED 2X with a size of 6.7 inches has a resolution of 2640×1080 pixels, a peak brightness of up to 1200 cd/m² and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The 1.9-inch external screen has a resolution of 512×260 pixels. This time, you can display more useful information and set more quick functions on the external display.

Cameras have not changed much. In the main unit there are two 12-megapixel sensors (wide-angle ƒ/1.8 and ultra-wide-angle ƒ/2.2, 123°), which this time should collect more light due to the increased pixel size. Front camera — 10 MP with ƒ/2.4.

Of course, the new model has become more powerful. We owe this to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. All memory configurations received 8 GB of RAM, but now there is an option with a drive of up to 512 GB (previously there were only 128 and 256). The smartphone also supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, navigation and NFC. It will currently receive Android 12 with OneUI 4.1.

And another pleasure was the larger battery, the capacity of which is now 3700 mAh. Moreover, it now supports faster charging — 25 W from wired and 15 W from induction charger. The power of reversible charging has not changed – 4.5 W.
