According to the Taiwanese media Commercial Times, Intel agreed on a partnership with TSMC regarding the production of the company’s next GPUs — Battlemage and Celestial, which are due in the second half of 2024 and 2026, respectively.

According to Commercial Times, the Battlemage GPU will be based on the second-generation Xe2 architecture and will be manufactured using a 4nm process, while the Celestial GPU will use the Xe3 architecture and the chips themselves will be manufactured using the N3X (3nm) process.

This news is hard to call unexpected, if you remember that the first generation of GPU from Intel, Alchemist (Xe), which was launched in the middle of last year, is also manufactured at TSMC facilities.
