Aqara showed a new smart surveillance camera with Apple Home support

Aqara, a company specializing in smart home devices, has announced the global launch of its Hub G5 Pro camera. It is designed for outdoor surveillance. The new product integrates with Google Home, Alexa, Samsung SmartThings, Apple Home applications and supports HomeKit Secure Video.

Aqara Camera Hub G5 Pro records 2.6K Quad HD video with True Color Night Vision . This technology supports 1520p resolution and a 133-degree viewing angle.

The Hub G5 Pro's built-in neural processor provides local object and sound recognition, which allows you to detect potential threats, such as suspicious actions or stolen packages. The camera also recognizes obstacles in the lens and the fact of package delivery. The novelty also received a function that allows you to create automation to scare away intruders using a 100 dB speaker and adjustable backlight.

The camera also supports the Matter protocol. Live video and recorded footage are encrypted, and saved data can be synchronized with iCloud , Aqara cloud storage, or a local NAS system .

Camera Hub G5 Pro features Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) for uninterrupted connectivity and dual-band Wi-Fi. The camera can continue to record important events and perform automation even when there is no internet connection .
