Apple has announced the launch of the Apple TV app for Android smartphones and tablets. It is already available for download on Google Play.
The Apple TV app provides Android smartphone and tablet users with easier access to Apple TV+ without having to use the web version. Apple TV+ offers a wide selection of original TV shows and movies.
Android users can access Apple TV+ by signing in to their Apple Account or subscribing through the Google Play payment system.
In Ukraine, the cost of Apple TV+ subscription is $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year. Apple TV+ is also included in all Apple One subscription packages with other Apple services.
Unlike Apple's platforms, the Android app does not provide access to the iTunes Store to rent or purchase TV shows. The app also does not show the media library that users have already purchased.
By the way, Apple has already offered its service for Android TV/Google TV devices, but not for smartphones and tablets.
