Rakuten Viber, the company that develops one of the most popular messengers for communication with businesses in Ukraine, has introduced new solutions for secure communication on the platform. The updates include verification notifications and a new security feature called SecurePlus.
The new verification messages will make it easy to authenticate customers with a one-time password (OTP). This will give businesses using Viber the ability to send pre-made templates designed to increase conversions, which will also be cheaper than regular SMS and allow for limited delivery time.
Another new feature is SecurePlus notifications. This solution allows you to check the recipient's number for suspicious activity in real time. Companies will be able to further protect messages with private and confidential information. This solution was initially developed for Eurobank and is now available to all companies.
In addition to this, in May 2024, Rakuten Viber also successfully passed the SOC 2 Type II international security certification, an independent audit that confirmed the reliability of data protection in the application.
Both new solutions are already available to businesses around the world.
