Sonos has announced the new Arc Ultra soundbar. The company claims that its new Sound Motion technology, which Arc Ultra received, is one of the most significant breakthroughs in audio technology in the last 100 years.

Arc Ultra has fourteen speakers – three more than Arc. Among them are seven high-frequency drivers, six midrange drivers, and one low-frequency Sound Motion driver. Sonos claims that with such a set of speakers, the new soundbar is capable of reproducing 9.1.4-channel sound on its own.

Arc Ultra also has an updated and improved Speech Enhancement technology that is supposed to reproduce the human voice more clearly. The soundbar supports Trueplay EQ settings and offers Bluetooth audio playback, which the original Arc could not.

Like other Sonos soundbars, the Arc Ultra can be paired with Sonos Ace headphones to listen to audio from any device connected to the Ultra.

Arc Ultra will cost $999 and will go on sale on October 29, 2024.
