The Mitsubishi Outlander crossover in versions for the European market has received certain updates for the 2025 model year. The most important change concerns the improvement of the hybrid system: thanks to an increase in battery capacity from 20 to 22.7 kWh, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV will now be able to cover up to 86 km on electricity. Otherwise, the general layout of the PHEV hybrid remains unchanged: a 2.4-liter gasoline engine, electric motors in front (85 kW) and behind (100 kW), and the ability to drive exclusively on electric drive or on a combination of ICE and electric motors.

But it should be noted right away that hybrid versions of the Mitsubishi Outlander are not available in Ukraine. Therefore, other updates that the car has received are important to us. For example, the new design of the front end with a blind panel imitating the radiator grille and decorated with three longitudinal stripes.

Other design changes include a new design of the lower part of the rear bumper: more horizontal lines and silver elements. In addition, the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander crossover will offer several wheel options (up to a maximum of 20-inch wheels) and a variety of body colors, including the possibility of two-tone painting.

There are also some changes in the car’s interior. For example, a new multimedia system with an enlarged 12.3-inch display that is very similar to a similar display in the Nissan X-Trail cabin; it is not surprising, as the two cars are quite related. At the same time, the Mitsubishi Outlander crossover received its own audio system developed in partnership with Yamaha. Also promised is a package of safety systems even as standard, massage seats, perforated leather, and much more.

However, it is currently unclear which of these will come to Ukraine and when exactly it will happen. Given that this is the 2025 model year version of the Mitsubishi Outlander, we should expect such cars to appear closer to the New Year holidays or even in the spring of 2025. But who knows – maybe then, along with the exterior and interior updates, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV hybrid will also come to Ukraine?
