Updated Volkswagen Taos crossover: design in the style of electric vehicles and automatic instead of DSG

It's surprising that we don't see a lot of Volkswagen Taos bits from the US in Ukraine yet, because this car is very similar to the European models Skoda Karoq and SEAT Ateca. Moreover, the recent update makes the Volkswagen Taos even more interesting not only for Americans but also for Ukrainians, as one of the most important changes was the abandonment of the DSG in favor of the usual automatic for all versions of this car.

The Volkswagen Taos crossover has also received a noticeably changed appearance, which is now made in the style of Volkswagen ID electric vehicles: narrowed headlights and an LED line between them, the complete absence of the upper grille and an enlarged air intake from below. A solid taillight and new wheels have also been added.

The interior of the updated Volkswagen Taos features a new multimedia system with a dedicated 8-inch display and a climate control unit with touch-sensitive switches. The manufacturer promises a list of IQ.Drive safety systems as standard, as well as improved trim materials and sound insulation.

Significant changes have also taken place under the hood. The TSI 1.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine remained in place, but new fuel injectors, an enlarged intercooler and other improvements increased power from 160 hp to 176 hp - not bad for a compact crossover! As noted above, all versions of the Volkswagen Taos will now be equipped with an 8-speed automatic, with front or all-wheel drive.

Sales of the updated Volkswagen Taos will begin in the United States at the end of this year. And then what about Ukraine?
