At Apple's Glowtime presentation, the company announced the Apple Watch 10 with the largest screen in the history of the company's smartwatches.

The enlarged OLED screen will be able to accommodate an additional line of text, which will help users check notifications on the go. The screen is covered by the IonX protective glass, and it will also be 40% brighter than the company's previous watches. Apple calls this display Wide angle OLED.

The thickness of the smartwatch will be 9.7 mm. This makes it 10% thinner than the previous Apple Watch 9. The new Apple Watch 10 will also charge faster. Charging from 0 to 80% will take only 30 minutes.

Inside, the smartwatch will have an Apple Silicon S10 processor for improved interaction with Siri, and will also use artificial intelligence to better detect gestures, drop or cut off background noise during voice input.

The Series 10 will be the first Apple Watch to feature sleep apnea detection, which uses the accelerometer to monitor the user's breathing throughout the night. This feature will also be available on the Series 9 and the new black Apple Watch Ultra 2.

Apnea is a temporary cessation of breathing movements during sleep. It is usually detected by equipment that monitors the patient's heart, breathing, brain activity, and even limb movements. If the watch detects signs of respiratory arrest, it will alert the user and provide a detailed report that can be shared with the doctor.

Apple Watch will also be water resistant, able to dive to a depth of 50 meters, determine the depth of immersion and water temperature. This makes it a good watch for divers.
