Apple has introduced AirPods 4. The company has developed a new “more anatomical” and “more comfortable” shape for headphones. In addition, we can expect improved sound quality and “personalized spatial sound”.

Inside the headphones there will be a new H2 chip, thanks to which AirPods 4 can be controlled by gestures. To accept a call in the headphones, you will need to shake your head up and down, and to reject it, you will need to shake it from side to side.

The headphones will receive an updated charging case, which has increased in size and will have a larger battery. The battery life is not yet specified.

The AirPods 4 will also feature Transparency Mode, Adaptive Audio, and Conversation Mode, which are previously exclusive to the Pro version, when the headphones automatically reduce the noise reduction level if they “hear” the interlocutor’s voice.

The new headphones will also feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), but you will have to pay extra for it. Ordinary headphones will cost $129, with noise canceling – $179.

Both models will go on sale on September 20, 2024.
