Apple is making yet another change to its devices in the European Union to comply with the Digital Market Act (DMA). This time, the company is changing the default browser selection screen and allowing even more apps to be uninstalled from iPhones and iPads.

First of all, by the end of the year, Apple will release an update that will allow users in the European Union to uninstall such factory apps as the App Store, Messages, Photos, Camera, and Safari from their iPhones and iPads.

Owners of the company's mobile devices will also receive an update that will change the browser selection screens. Users in the EU will be offered 12 random browsers with information and details about each of them and will be given the opportunity to choose and install the one they like right away.

In addition, Apple will add a new Default Apps section to iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 in Settings, which will list all the standard apps on the device. Along with this, iPhone and iPad will be able to replace the standard apps for calls, messages, translation, navigation, password saving, keyboard, and spam filter.
