BMW M5 Touring station wagons have been seen in the automotive world, but not often. Relatively speaking, they appear after one or two generations of relatively familiar BMW M5 sedans: the last time the BMW M5 Touring wagon existed was in the E61 body, and then only BMW M5 sedans followed – so the time has come and the wagon is back!

BMW didn’t reinvent the wheel, but simply combined the existingBMW 5 Series station wagon body with the technical components and all the features of the new generation BMW M5. A new front bumper, widened wheel arches, 20-inch or even 21-inch wheels, a rear spoiler and a 2×2 exhaust system: everything is exactly as you would expect from a BMW M5 Touring.

The technical component of the BMW M5 Touring wagon is similar to the BMW M5 – under the hood we have a gasoline 4.4-liter V8 turbo and an electric motor, we also have all-wheel drive M xDrive and a sports M suspension, plus high-performance M brakes or even optional ceramic brake discs. The result is a total PHEV hybrid output of 727 hp and 1000 Nm of torque, which provides acceleration to “hundreds” in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of up to 305 km/h – if you order the option package. Yes, it looks like potatoes have never driven so fast before…

How many potatoes can there be? The car manufacturer promises a trunk volume of 500-1630 liters for the BMW M5 Touring. That is, if desired, there is enough space for a dog, two bags, and even a set of skis to go skiing somewhere in the Alps or even on the slopes in Bukovel. Moreover, the rest of the BMW M5 Touring interior is as similar as possible to the BMW M5 sedan: sports seats, luxurious trim, colored translucent elements.

Sales of the new BMW M5 Touring will begin at the end of 2024. Moreover, the BMW M5 Touring wagon will reach the U.S. market for the first time – it seems that BMW has prepared not only a gift for its fans, but also the best high-speed sleigh for the local American Santa.
