Pavel Durov, the creator of Telegram, announced on his channel that the messenger has crossed the 950 million mark of active monthly users.
In the spring, it was reported that the messenger had 900 million active users, and in early July, Durov said that 239 million new people had registered on Telegram in three months.
Next, the company plans to reach one billion monthly active users. In addition, this month, the messenger plans to launch a web browser that supports web pages.
As a reminder, the messenger has also recently launched an internal currency, Stars, based on cryptocurrency. Durov said that later Stars could be withdrawn to Toncoin (TON).
