The WhatsApp beta for Android has two new features that can make communication in the messenger much easier. The first is transcription of voice messages, and the second is a built-in translator. This was reported by WABetaInfo.
Transcription will allow you to convert voice messages from users into text. At the same time, this function will maintain confidentiality, as transcription will take place directly on the device.
This feature can also help users search for old voice messages, allowing them to find the voice messages they need faster without having to listen to them again.
Another new feature in WhatsApp is a message translator. As with transcription, translation will take place directly on the device using Google's real-time translation technology.
Users will need to download language packs for the translation to work. Initially, the feature will be limited to a few languages with further expansion in the future.
So far, these features are only available to some beta testers of the Android app, but they should appear in the stable version of the app in the near future.
