Prison Architect 2 has been announced. The prison tycoon simulator is moving to 3D

Double Eleven Studio and publisher Paradox Interactive have announced the second installment of the popular prison construction simulator Prison Architect 2. Unlike the first part, the new game will be in 3D, and this is what the game’s trailer emphasizes.

In general, the main task of the player in Prison Architect 2 will remain the same – to build an ideal prison that brings in money (remember, most prisons in the United States are private commercial enterprises). And what you end up building – a place of punishment or rehabilitation – depends on your desire.

As a reminder, the original Prison Architect was released in 2015, like all Paradox Interactive games, received a dozen DLCs and sold 4 to 7 million copies on Steam alone.

The new Prison Architect 2 will also be released on Steam first and very soon. The game is scheduled for release on March 26, 2024.
