New Cycle – urban planning strategy about survival in the spirit of Frostpunk
Turkish studio Core Engage and publisher Daedalic Entertainment have presented a trailer telling about the gameplay of the urban planning strategy game New Cycle.
New Cycle is a dieselpunk urban strategy game with a focus on survival. The player, as the leader of a small group of settlers, seeks refuge after a catastrophic solar flare that devastated the Earth. As usual, you start with a basic settlement, a few hungry workers, and many unmet needs. Over time, as the population grows, new challenges will arise, such as fluctuating morale, disease outbreaks, power outages, and resource demands.
As you can see from the trailer, the developers seem to have been inspired by another survivalist urban strategy, Frostpunk by Polish 11 bit studios.
On January 18, 2024, New Cycle is to be released in Steam Early Access.
