Alienware introduces new QD-OLED monitors: support for Dolby Vision, 240+ Hz

At CES 2024, Alienware, a subsidiary of Dell, showed this year’s update of its QD-OLED gaming monitor lineup, which includes two models: 32-inch AW3225QF and 27-inch AW2725DF.

The first model has a curved screen (1700R) with an aspect ratio of 16:9, 4K resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz. The Alienware AW3225QF supports Dolby Vision HDR and HDR10, with a peak brightness of up to 1000 nits. It is compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC and HDMI VRR, with a response time of 0.03 ms (GtG).

The Alienware AW2725DF is a more compact model with a flat 27-inch screen, 2560×1440 resolution, and 360Hz refresh rate. The rest of the main characteristics are almost the same, except for the lack of Dolby Vision HDR support and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility – instead, this model supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.

In the US and Canada, sales of the monitors will start tomorrow, January 11, and they will be available on the global market starting February 6. The older model will cost $1200, and the younger one will cost $900.
