Acer’s new products at CES 2024: 3D screens, laptops, updated OLED and Mini-LED monitors, and routers with Wi-Fi 7

Some companies have made significant preparations for this year’s CES 2024. Among them is Acer, which pleased fans with updated laptops, monitors, routers, and video cards.

Let’s start with laptops. The updated carbon-neutral laptop Acer Aspire Vero 16 will encourage customers who are not indifferent to environmental issues. The laptop case and packaging are made of recycled materials, and the company minimizes emissions at all stages of production. Moreover, the new model is powered by Intel Core Ultra 7 processors, which have a separate NPU module for AI. Among other things, the model supports Wi-Fi 7 and provides a battery life of more than 10 hours.

In Ukraine, the updated Acer Aspire Vero 16 will be available in April at a price starting from UAH 33 999.

The Aspire Go budget lineup has also been updated, with the Acer Aspire Go 14 and Aspire Go 15 models.
The low-cost laptops are powered by new Intel Core i3 N and AMD Ryzen 7000 processors. The 15-inch version can be expected in Ukrainian stores at the end of March with a price starting at UAH 12 499. The 14-inch version will arrive later. The cost of such models in Europe will start from €549/649 (depending on the processor).

The Swift line also has its own interesting features. Acer Swift Go 14 та Acer Swift Go 16 are offered in aluminum cases, have fast OLED displays with high resolution (2880×1800@90 Hz and 3200×2000@120 Hz), DCI-P3 color gamut and brightness of up to 500 cd/m², Intel Core Ultra processors and Intel Arc graphics, and battery life of up to 12.5 and 10.5 hours, respectively.

The models will cost from UAH 40 999 and 41 999 in Ukraine. Availability – the end of March.

In turn, the Acer Swift X 14 can add an Intel Core Ultra H-series processor and discrete graphics up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070. The OLED display of this model is also Calman certified. However, this option will cost from UAH 59 999.

Predator Helios gaming models have also been updated. The flagship laptops Predator Helios 16 and Predator Helios 18, in addition to the top versions of Intel Core i9 14900HX and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, will also be of interest with WQXGA displays with a refresh rate of 250 Hz, Mini-LED backlighting and a maximum brightness level of up to 1 000 cd/m². Of course, these laptops have a lot of interesting RBG-backlighting on the case and customized keyboards. The top lids of this series additionally have a small puzzle for customers.

The initial price of the flagships is UAH 95 999 and UAH 132 999, and they will be available for sale at the end of March.

The cheaper versions of these laptops – Predator Helios Neo 16 and Predator Helios Neo 18 – can be equipped with a maximum of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070, and their displays do not have Mini-LED backlighting options. But the price tags are much lighter: from UAH 67 999 and 70 999, respectively.

There are also new offers among gaming monitors. The Predator X34 V3 will offer a 34-inch ultra-wide 21:9 curved matrix with Mini-LED backlighting and a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels. The refresh rate will be 180 Hz. The retail price of this model will start at UAH 33 999.

The Predator X34 X and Predator X39 (34 and 39 inches respectively) have the same resolution, but now have OLED matrices and a higher refresh rate of 240 Hz. The cost of this pleasure will start from UAH 51 999 and UAH 59 999, respectively.

If that’s not enough, the manufacturer has also prepared the Predator Z57, a 57-inch screen with a resolution of 7680×2160 pixels, 32:9 aspect ratio, maximum brightness of up to 1,000 cd/m², and Mini-LED backlighting. The starting price of this model is UAH 95 999.

All monitors will be delivered to Ukrainian stores in the second quarter of this year.

Acer also introduced four new graphics cards. The Acer Nitro AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT OC is an entry-level offering with 16 GB of GDDR6, 288 Gbps bandwidth, and a clock speed of 2539 MHz (overclockable to 2810 MHz). Its dimensions are 268×111.2×40.1 mm. There is an HDMI 2.1 port and three DisplayPort 2.1 ports for connecting monitors.

The two “older” versions of Nitro AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT OC and Nitro AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT OC are slightly larger – 279×129.62×50.42 mm. The former has 12 GB of GDDR6 (up to 432 Gbps) and a clock frequency of 2276 MHz (boost to 2599 MHz), and the latter has 16 GB of GDDR6 (up to 624 Gbps) and 2254 MHz (boost to 2565 MHz). These graphics cards also have one HDMI 2.1 port and three DisplayPort 2.1 ports. Their price in Europe will be €519 and €579, respectively.

For those who need more, there is the Acer Predator BiFrost AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT OC. With a starting price of €599, it has 16 GB of GDDR6 with a bandwidth of 624 Gbps, and the clock speed reaches 2254 MHz (boost to 2565 MHz). With it, you can count on 3 slots instead of 2.5, as in the above cases, with dimensions of 281.9 × 117.9 × 61.4 mm. The port layout is the same.

In partnership with Qualcomm, Acer also offers new gaming routers. For example, Predator Connect X7 5G CPE has received the new Wi-Fi 7 standard, and at the same time will provide 5G connectivity. Moreover, the model also has two WAN ports for connecting to a redundant wired channel. For large apartments or private houses, the manufacturer has also prepared a Predator Connect T7 Wi-Fi 7 Mesh system. The timing and price level in Ukraine is still unknown.

The most interesting part was left for last. These are a laptop Acer Aspire 3D 15 and a gaming monitor Predator SpatialLabs View 27. They should be of interest to fans of 3D images. And in both cases, the user does not need special glasses.

The laptop with the full name Aspire 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition has a UHD IPS stereoscopic 15-inch screen. And it allows you to see the 3D effect not only in games and related content: proprietary AI-based developments can adapt ordinary 2D images for such a screen in real time. And for enthusiasts, Acer OpenXR software is available, which can be used to create content. Of course, the laptop will also allow you to work in standard 2D mode.

The hardware includes an Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 discrete video, up to 32 GB of DDR5 and a storage capacity of up to 2 TB. The laptop will go on sale in late February with an initial price tag of UAH 72 999.

The Predator SpatialLabs View 27 monitor with 3D Ultra mode is supposed to “add extra depth and geometry to every scene, and the extensive collection of 3D stereo settings opens up a wide range of possibilities for customizing visual effects to your liking.” The list of games with the appropriate support is available on the company’s site and continues to be updated.

The monitor also has 2.5-watt speakers with Acer Immerse Audio technology, which should enhance video effects with surround sound.

The 27-inch IPS matrix has a 4K resolution, 160 Hz refresh rate, and maximum brightness of up to 400 cd/m². For normal operation, the classic 2D mode is provided, and there is also support for AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC technologies. We can expect this monitor in Ukraine in the second quarter of this year at a price starting at UAH 79 999.
