Bloober Team is working on a game based on one of Skybound Entertainment’s franchises
Bloober Team has announced a deal under which the Polish studio will create a new game based on one of Skybound Entertainment’s franchises.
The game has been codenamed R, and more information about the game is expected to be revealed in 2025. It is expected that the game will be in the horror genre, but no further details are disclosed.
“This project is the next step in the 2nd party strategy, where we work with external partners to apply our horror knowledge. These are not titles that should only bring us financial profit, they are the next steps in the implementation of our strategy. by the end of 2027. We’ve known our friends at Skybound for a long time and I’m confident that this will be a successful collaboration,” comments Piotr Babieno, CEO of the studio.
Skybound owns the rights to such franchises as The Walking Dead, Creepshow, Invincible, and many others, so there are a lot of options for what the Bloober Team can work on.
The studio is currently working on a remake of Silent Hill 2, which they say is going “well and on schedule.”
