Analysts Compare Internet Prices in the World in 2023: Ukraine Ranks Second
Analysts from Picodi Ukraine compared the prices of Internet from 364 providers in 85 countries around the world and shared the statistics with the most affordable and fastest Internet.
According to statistics, Ukraine ranks second with an average cost of $6.1 or 223 hryvnias per 100 Mbps, while the average Internet speed in the world is 85 Mbps.
Picodi also conducted a study of what Internet speed users from different countries can get for $20 or about ₴730. This list did not include 34 countries, usually from Western Europe, where providers simply do not have tariffs with such a price.
Ukraine and 13 other countries offer 1 Gbps for this price, while the best offer is in Latvia, where you can get 1.2 Gbps for $20.
Picodi also investigated changes in the price of Gigabit Internet over the past 4 years. While in most parts of the world the price has fallen by 15%, in Ukraine the tariff has risen by 20%. At the same time, the number of countries offering this speed has doubled since 2019.
Even so, 1 Gbps tariffs in Ukraine are the cheapest in the world.
