Amazon renewed Gen V for a second season

Amazon has renewed Gen V, a spin-off of the superhero series The Boys, for a second season, writes The Hollywood Reporter.

The final episode of the first season of Gen V will be released on November 3, but the success of the series, which is ranked number one on Prime Video in more than 130 countries, has already allowed the company to give the green light to the sequel.

“We couldn’t be happier to make a second season of Gen V. These are characters and stories we’ve grown to love, and we are thrilled to know people feel the same! The writers are already working on the new season — sophomore year is gonna be wild, with all the twists, heart, satire, and exploding genitalia you’ve come to expect from the show,” said showrunner Michel Fazekaz and executive producer Eric Kripke.

Gen V tells the story of Godolphin University, which trains a new generation of superheroes. The students aspect the work of a superhero, perform tasks, compete with each other, and make their first mistakes.
