Google has developed a hat-keyboard

Google’s Japanese office has developed a prototype of a hat that can be used to type text. According to Ars Technica, the company will not produce these hats, and the prototype was created as an advertising project for Gboard.

Inside this hat is a 6-axis inertial sensor that can read the angle of the hat, each of which is assigned a specific character. After selecting the required angle for, the hat will need to be pressed to enter this selected character.

There is a 120 mAh battery inside this keyboard, and it connects to the device via Bluetooth. The hat also has a USB-C port for charging.

While Google won’t be releasing this hat, they have shared the open source code for the project on GitHub so you can make one yourself.
