Surface Laptop Go 3 is another basic laptop from Microsoft
Microsoft has presented the Surface Laptop Go 3, which will go on sale in the US on October 3 at a starting price of $799. With a 12.4-inch PixelSense touchscreen display with a resolution of 1536×1024 pixels and a 3:2 aspect ratio, the model is positioned as an affordable and lightweight laptop in the Surface lineup, designed for users who do not require high performance.
The new model retains a design similar to its predecessor, the Surface Laptop Go 2, but has received several internal updates. The laptop is equipped with an Intel Core i5-1235U processor, which, according to Microsoft, makes it 88% faster than previous models. The laptop can be configured with 8 or 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 256 GB SSD.
Surface Laptop Go 3 is available in four colors: platinum, sage, sandstone, and ice blue, and weighs 1.13 kg.
The laptop is equipped with a variety of ports, including one USB-A 3.1 port, one USB-C 3.2 port, a headphone jack, and a proprietary Surface Connect port. It also includes a fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and the ability to swap out the SSD module, which allows for up to 512GB of storage.
Despite the internal improvements, the laptop continues to have the same port selection and design elements as the previous model. It features a 720p webcam, “studio microphones” and Omnisonic speakers with Dolby Audio support.
Microsoft claims that the Surface Laptop Go 3 offers up to 15 hours of battery life.
