Meta finally launches web version of Threads social network
Meta is finally launching a full-fledged web version of its Threads social network. Users will be able to publish posts here, interact with other posts, and view the feed. This was stated by the company’s spokeswoman Christine Pye, writes The Verge.
The interface of the web version is very similar to the interface of the mobile application, although with some differences. For example, the navigation icons are located at the top of the page, and to switch between the “For You” and “Following feeds” feeds, you need to click the button in the lower left corner.
However, the web version does not allow users to do everything that can be done in the mobile app. For example, users will not be able to edit their profiles or send posts from the web to Instagram direct messages.
We would like to remind you that Threads was launched in early July. In a matter of days, the app gained 100 million users, easily eclipsing the release of ChatGPT last year, although the app is still not available in the European Union.
Nevertheless, some analysts report that the use of Threads has plummeted. Perhaps the web version and the announced search will convince some users who have lost interest in the platform to return.
