Star Wars: Jedi Survivor will still be released on PS4 and Xbox One

As it is known, at the beginning of the year, EA said that it was going to release Star Wars: Jedi Survivor only on the current platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. So, in February, Respawn’s game director Stig Asmussen told PLAY magazine in an interview that the studio had abandoned the release on Xbox One and PS4. According to him, it decided to take advantage of faster processors, more memory, and faster loading times — to be able to make bigger maps with more detail, a wider variety of enemies/NPCs, etc.

But it seems that EA has forced the developer to change his mind: during the publisher’s financial report for the first quarter, EA CEO Andrew Wilson said that the release of Star Wars: Jedi Survivor on last-generation consoles will still take place: “thanks to the strength of this legendary franchise and the demand of the community our development team has decided to bring Jedi to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.”

Unfortunately, there is still no release date for the game on these consoles, even an approximate one.
