2K announced the release of the new game NBA 2K24, which will take place on September 8. They decided to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the simulator by adding crossplay between the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X consoles for the first time.

The game will be dedicated to the legendary Kobe Bryant, who died tragically in 2020. Not only will the basketball player appear on the cover of the simulator, but NBA 2K24 will also feature the “Mamba Moments” mode. Like a similar mode devoted to Michael Jordan, “recreate some of Kobe’s most captivating performances and progress through his transcendent journey from a young phenom to one of the greatest players of all time.”

NBA 2K24 will be available in three versions: Kobe Bryant Edition (standard version), Black Mamba Edition and 25th Anniversary Edition. The cost of the game starts at $70 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X and from $60 for Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
