Napoleon – Ridley Scott’s film with Joaquin Phoenix in the lead role

Sony Pictures and Apple TV+ presented the official trailer of Ridley Scott’s film Napoleon starring Joaquin Phoenix. It seems that after Joker, Joaquin Phoenix is born to play mad geniuses.

The productivity of Ridley Scott, who has already turned 85 years old, can only be envied. In 2021, he released The Last Duel and House of Gucci, now preparing to present Napoleon, and in 2024 – Gladiator 2!

Napoleon is based in part on Stanley Kubrick’s 1969 concept, but the screenplay was written by David Scarpa, who worked with Scott on the film All the Money in the World. It’s going to be a really spectacular movie: unlike many Napoleon movies, which show one or two big battles, Scott’s film has six of them.

As already mentioned, actor Joaquin Phoenix (Gladiator, Joker, The Master) starred as Colonel/General/Emperor Napoleon. Josephine Beauharnais was played by the talented Vanessa Kirby (The Crown, Pieces of a Woman). In addition, Tahar Rahim, Ludivine Sagnier, Paul Rees, Youssef Kerkour, John Hollingworth and others starred in the film.

Napoleon should be released in the US on November 22, 2023, and later appear on Apple TV+.
