Dumb Money, a movie about a financial scam with GameStop shares
I don’t know why we missed the trailer for Dumb Money but better late than never.
The movie Dumb Money is based on Ben Mezrich’s book The Antisocial Network: The GameStop Short Squeeze and the Ragtag Group of Amateur Traders That Brought Wall Street to Its Knees and is dedicated to investor Keith Gill and Reddit’s “crusade” against several American hedge funds, which led to a sharp jump in the value of the shares of the chain of video game stores GameStop.
The starring role in the films is played by the talented actor Paul Dano (There Will Be Blood, 12 Years a Slave, Little Miss Sunshine, Swiss Army Man). The director’s chair was occupied by Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya, The Finest Hours, Cruella).
The world premiere of the film Dumb Money is scheduled for September 22, 2023. Unfortunately, the film will not be released in Ukraine.
